Calico Spirit
- AIDS Walk Raffle Raffle held after AIDS Walk on September 14 Tickets $1 from any Walk Volunteer or day of walk (need not be present to win.) This year's raffle items are a beautiful painting and a wonderful hand-made quilt. Raffle tickets can be purchased from AIDS Walk volunteers or the day of the walk. The quilt was made and donated by Marsha Hoisington's daughter, Jill Elias, from Minneapolis. Marsha is director of Reproductive Health Services at PCS Health Services and has participated in AIDS Walks in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area with her children Jill and Josh over the last 25 years. Now all grown, Jill is a self-employed quilter (and mother of 4) and made this for us. (Thus the red/white theme!) Thank you, Jill! And thank you, Marsha! We appreciate your help! The painting is by local artist,
Yelena Khanevskaya. Yelena is a
professor at Western Nebraska Community College and this is the
second painting she's donated for our raffle. Thank you,
Yelena!!! |

It's
better to know....We now spend more time dating and have more sex partners before marriage than ever before. This significantly increases the risk of exposure to HIV through our sex partners' past. New medicines mean that people with HIV are living longer, healthier, more sexually active lives which makes early detection more important than ever. New studies show that early diagnosis and treatment significantly lower the risk of transmission and long-term complications. We have a new discrete location in Scottsbluff where you can discretely & anonymously get a free oral HIV test and know your status in about 30 minutes! Please contact Jill Young (308-635-3807) or Janet Soule (308-632-2540) for your free, anonymous HIV test today. Click here for more information on testing outside the Scottsbluff area. |

Mary S. (one of
our Wyoming volunteers) has a new man in her life...
(a few words from the doting granny....) Greetings to all from the far southeast corner of Wyoming & Nebraska panhandle; This is the new man in life and I have fallen head over heels for this little man . His name is: Grant Edric Elijah P. he was born Jan. 2008 , a little over 2 feet tall now. Grant has officially wrapped his grandma around his finger and his heart. I am so blessed to have lived this long to see him born and to grow. As you can see he will probably be a husker fan, wont have a choice due to the fact it has been passed down in the Gene Pool form his dad and grandfathers on both sides. Wishes for great health to all, MARY S. |
